About the event
In this session of the series, "The Unbook Club," we discuss the book by award-winning journalist Jenny Anderson and the Brookings Institution’s global education expert Rebecca Winthrop - The Disengaged Teen: Helping Kids Learn Better, Feel Better, and Live Better.
Teens are naturally curious and wired to learn, but many feel overwhelmed, bored, and disconnected from school — and it’s taking a toll on their well-being. As they grow more independent, it’s easy for parents to feel at a loss. The good news? There are meaningful, evidence-based ways to reconnect and help teens rediscover their drive — in school and in life.
About the series, "The Unbook Club:" Think of these workshops as a book club without the reading homework. I'll share key insights from a compelling book on parenting, academic success or well-being and we’ll explore how the ideas connect to our lives and challenges.
