Straight A’s Don’t Guarantee Life Success—Here’s What Does

About the Event

Engagement is key to happiness and life success, according to award-winning journalist Jenny Anderson and the Brookings Institution’s global education expert Rebecca Winthrop in The Disengaged Teen: Helping Kids Learn Better, Feel Better, and Live Better.

"Kids who have never had the opportunity to explore, to ask what they care about, often get lost when they leave high school because no one is telling them exactly what to do, and they flounder."

In this session of the series, "The Unbook Club," we discuss how to help our kids develop explorer skills so they can thrive in an uncertain world. This workshop helps parents uncover how to cultivate both engagement and achievement in your teen, so they can excel academically and develop the skills to thrive beyond high school.

About the series, "The Unbook Club:"  Think of these workshops as a book club without the reading homework. I'll share key insights from a compelling book on parenting, academic success or well-being and we’ll explore how the ideas connect to our lives and challenges.
